Serving size 2 oz 16 calories
2 cups fresh lime juice
1 finger fresh ginger (1- 1.5″) peeled and sliced
2 cups monk fruit or sugar
2TB fresh cilantro minced
1 tsp minced jalepeno pepper (optional)
Warm the lime juice on med low heat in a pot with a heavy bottom. When tiny bubbles start to form around edges of pan add the ginger, monk fruit, and jalepeno allow to simmer for 10 minutes on low heat. Remove from heat and add cilantro. Let cool completely at room temperature so flavors will fully develop. Strain into a jar and seal, store in refrigerator.
Use it as a base for cocktails like you would a mixer. Goes great with Tequila or Vodka.
Make a refreshing citrus cooler, just add orange juice, vodka and seltzer to taste. Garnish with orange and lime slices.
Cherry Margarita – mix with tequila, cherry juice and seltzer. Pour into salt rimed margarita glass and garnish with fresh 🍒.
Spicy Lime Cooler – Add seltzer, vodka and a dash of jalepeno hot sauce. Garnish with jalepeno and lime slices.
Or just water for a delicious spicy limeaide.
