
It’s watermelon time๐ at my house we are so excited. We love watermelon ๐ any way we can get it.
Here are some tips to make your experience a great one.
When you are shopping for one don’t forget the age old trick of thumping it and listening for the nice deep thump meaning it’s nice and ripe.
Don’t buy what you won’t eat in a couple days for best freshness
The seedless ones are great “no spitting”
Store it in a closed container in fridge. Leve the rind on to extend shelf life.
Now to serve it up fancy at a dinner party try pairing chunck’s of it with sliced cucumber, thin slices of sweet onion, and crumbled feta or other goat cheese. You can also add grapes or blueberries. Drizzle it with a balsamic reduction like a nice citrus one and serve. Yum ๐
