Turkey Gravy and Biscuits

Wow, these biscuits turned out so well. Look at how beautiful they are. I used half Greek yogurt and half goat milk and I rubbed them with bacon grease before I put them in the oven. And man did it make them tasty!

I understand bacon grease was not the right thing to choose except that we occasionally have bacon. It is locally raised heritage pork that has been  humanely raised however, you vegans and I love you all. Might just want to avoid this recipe all together. Oh and I used grass fed organic butter too.

You know how after a couple of days you just get tired of eating cranberry sauce, stuffing and turkey. Wow! That day for me was today and I wanted something different but still had plenty of turkey left. So I made milk gravy as we call it down south from the leftover bacon fat that I had in the pan from this morning’s breakfast.  And then I used some of that fat on top of the biscuits.  I used the drippings and crusty stuff from the bottom of the iron skillet to make a delicious milk gravy to which I added chopped turkey and made a wonderful turkey gravy to put over the biscuits for dinner.

It’s super easy to make gravy. I’ll teach you how below and then you just add the turkey pieces to it and warm them up in the gravy and serve them over the biscuits which you are going to cut in half.
